Academy of Achievement’s Exclusive Interview: Wynton Marsalis (via KristenReardon, YouTube)
I just got back from seeing Wynton Marsalis perform with Jazz at Lincoln Center during the Vancouver International Jazz Fest. It was absolutely incredible. I was also fortunate enough to have seen Dave Brubeck perform a few nights before - who also took part in the festival - and so, understandably, I’ve been in a Jazz state of mind. This clip - which I stumbled on out of chance, it seems - beautifully captures what I understand to be the fundamental and unique quality of music. Enjoy!
